Peridot Landscape and Design was established in late 2025 by longtime friends Calby Beckstrand and Eric Lehmann who first met in 2013 working together at a landscaping company.
What started as shared experience in the field became a decades-long dream. After years of navigating the corporate climb and working for others, they grew increasingly aware of a gap in the industry. When contractors got busy, communication stopped. Calls went unanswered and relationships got lost in the shuffle.
Peridot was built to do things differently.
Rooted in trust, clear communication and craftsmanship, Calby and Eric bring complimentary strengths and a hands-on approach to every project. They believe clients deserve more than a transaction. They deserve a partner.
Peridot serves clients across the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo area and the greater Red River Valley, providing residential and commercial landscaping services with a focus on design, construction and long-term durability.

We’ll bring material samples, selection books and design guidance directly to your home, allowing you to see options in the context of your own space. Eric Lehmann
Eric Lehmann is a seasoned landscape professional with nearly two decades of experience across design, construction and maintenance. He began his career in residential and commercial landscaping, building a strong foundation in site preparation, hardscape installation, plant selection and full-cycle project execution. As he moved into leadership roles, Eric expanded his expertise in project management, crew development, budgeting and client communication. Known for his reliability and consistent delivery, he excels at coordinating teams, managing timelines and maintaining high quality standards. Today, Eric brings his hands-on experience and thoughtful approach to creating outdoor spaces that are both functional and visually compelling. He remains focused on strong client relationships and designs that reflect each homeowner’s vision while delivering lasting value.

Calby Beckstrand
Calby Beckstrand grew up on a farm, where a strong work ethic and respect for hard work were instilled from an early age. He spent his high school summers in landscaping and went on to earn a degree from North Dakota State University in Agricultural and Biosystems engineering. After college, Calby worked in the landscaping industry for a while longer, excelling in hardscape installation and project management while leading crews in the field. In 2014, he entered the corporate world, advancing through sales, service and product management roles before serving as Director of Service for an agricultural manufacturing company. After more than a decade in corporate leadership, Calby returned to his roots and his dream to build a landscaping company that is centered on craftsmanship, team development and a culture where employees and clients alike are seen, heard and proud of the work they do.
